Bromley Mencap provides NCMA, ‘Children Come First’ Quality Assured Networks of Childminders who are able to provide childcare for children with a learning disability. Some children may also have physical or medical needs.
If you want to find out any more information contact:
Carol Harris
Bromley Mencap Childminding Network Coordinator,
Phone: 020 8466 0790
or email: carol.harris@bromleymencap.org

All childminders on the Networks receive the continued support of the Coordinator as well as any additional training needed to meet the individual needs of the child they are caring for.
If you are interested in joining the Network you need to first of all attend a preparation course. Run over 6 Monday evenings and 1 Saturday, it is designed as a “taster” of the many topics that can be addressed when looking at the care of children with a learning and or physical disability or health care needs. The sessions are friendly and informal. You will not be required to take notes or be tested. Following successful completion of the preparation course if you wish to join the Network you will need to undertake an ‘Initial assessment’ with the Network Coordinator.
