Bromley Network Childminders Celebrate Approval
of Networks
On Saturday 17th February Bromley Early Years and Bromley Mencap held
a joint event to celebrate the recent NCMA approval of the four Bromley Childminding
Networks. The Networks were assessed in August by the National Childminding Association
to ensure the childminders were providing a quality service to children and families
in need or with additional needs, accross the Borough. The Co-
A Barn Dance was held for the Network Childminders and their families in central
Bromley. Mayor Councillor Charles Joel and his wife Margaret attended , presented
Certificates to the Network Childminders and cut the specially made cake. Cllr Joel
talked knowledgeably of the role of a childminder, as his own daughter had been a
Mencap Network Childminder many years ago. A certificate was also presented to Liz
Hodgman, BCMA's web writer, for her 'efforts and enthusiasm in co-
The Childminders, their partners and children enjoyed an afternoon of dancing and a buffet lunch. The local press attended and took photographs.
